Almost a year ago you sold me a 20 Kw Cummins generator for my new country home where I spend virtually all my time.

People said it was an extravagance. “The power never goes out here”. I wanted the feeling of security that this fairly significant investment would bring.

Not many events over the past months but each time the lights went out and I heard the Cummins fire up it made me feel good, secure. Money well spent.

Well, last Friday the power went out at 07:30 and did not come back for almost 6 days. We were one of the last in the province  to be re-connected; triage, like at a hospital. A broken power line that serves 1000 people logically gets attention before one that serves 7.  

The generator kept me and mine with the full use of our home until Hydro Québec was ordered by first responders to get us back on the grid due to our neighbours who huddled in the dark and cold without even running water. They had no generator.

Your engineer, Bruce, even walked up our almost one Km road over fallen trees to make sure we were ok.

Remarkable service. You were also on the phone to me daily to see if all was well.

The event felt like an attack on my home.

The best way to say it is that Cummins and Combitech kept me and my family safe and warm when Hydro Québec could not.

This was the smartest investment I’ve made in recent memory.
